Pravin Van der Merwe
28 years teaching home economics in Polokwane
- 🇿🇦 Polokwane, Limpopo, South Africa
- Lotus Technical College
- Since 2015
- English, Afrikaans
For eleven years I have been the home economics teacher at Lotus Technical College. I teach the youngest children and a few brave older students who wanted extra help.
Over the years I've had 280 students pass through my room. A few of them became teachers themselves, which still makes me smile.
I never expected anything in return, but a kind word always makes my day.
More about Pravin
Teaching changed me more than I changed anyone, I think.

What gifts mean to Pravin: If you do send something, I'll put it toward a small scholarship for a student who needs it.
