Prasad Savla

Master of weaving, now teaching apprentices

🇮🇳 Patna, Bihar, India
Since 1994
English, Marathi

I've worked in weaving since 1994. I learned from my mother and passed what I could on to 1,220 apprentices. Apprentices come in nervous and leave proud. That's my favorite part. I take the work seriously, though not myself.

More about Prasad

If I fixed something for you, I hope it's still holding.

What gifts mean to Prasad: I'd put gifts toward a new set of tools for the next apprentice.
