I've been a nurse for 36 years, most of them in emergency care at St. Anne's Maternity Hospital in Mumbai. Night shifts taught me patience, and patients taught me everything else.
The thing I'm proudest of is that families usually remember my name. I run most mornings.
It has been a good run and I'm grateful for all of it.
