Prabha Ishara Gamage
25 years teaching physics in Colombo
- 🇱🇰 Colombo, Western, Sri Lanka
- Colombo Girls' School
- Since 2006
- English, Sinhala
I came to teaching late, after working as a night-shift cleaner, and 20 years later I still can't imagine doing anything else.
Over the years I've had 700 students pass through my room. A few of them became teachers themselves, which still makes me smile.
More about Prabha
Teaching changed me more than I changed anyone, I think.

What gifts mean to Prabha: If you do send something, I'll put it toward a small scholarship for a student who needs it.
