I've been a nurse for nine years, most of them in oncology at Holy Cross Maternity Hospital in Birmingham. Night shifts taught me patience, and patients taught me everything else.
The thing I'm proudest of is that families usually remember my name. I volunteer at the food bank on Saturdays.
