I've coached cricket at Redwood Boxing Gym since 1987. Most of my players were between 9 and 16, and a lot of them turned into friends for life.
Winning was never the point, though I won't pretend I didn't enjoy it. I write a short note to every student at the end of term.
Hearing from old faces is the best part of my week.

If you played for me, you probably remember the day the fire alarm went off during the exam.
