I coached football at Tallahassee Boxing Gym from 1983 to 1994. Most of my players were between 10 and 15, and a lot of them turned into friends for life.
Winning was never the point, though I won't pretend I didn't enjoy it. I wrote a short note to every student at the end of term.
More about Pilar
If you played for me, you probably remember the day the fire alarm went off during the exam.
What gifts mean to Pilar: I'll put any gifts toward a small fund so no child misses a match because of money.
