Pilar P. Cabrera
Brass band player and teacher in Tlaquepaque
- 🇲🇽 Tlaquepaque, Jalisco, Mexico
- Tlaquepaque Ensemble
- Since 1981
- Spanish
I play brass band and choir direction. I started in 1981 with a secondhand instrument and a lot of stubbornness.
I teach about 7 students a week. Some of them are better than me now, which is the whole point. I'm always reading two books at once.
It has been a good run and I'm grateful for all of it.
More about Pilar
I write my first song when I was 22. It was terrible and I still love it.
