I'm a swimming coach. I never went pro, but I get to see 1,120 kids fall in love with the game.
Winning was never the point, though I won't pretend I didn't enjoy it. I learn every name in the first week.
I'm still learning every day.
More about Pilar
Some of my former players now coach their own teams, which is the best thank-you I could ask for.
What gifts mean to Pilar: I'll put any gifts toward a small fund so no child misses a match because of money.
