Pilar E. Vega
Master of blacksmithing, now teaching apprentices
- 🇲🇽 Coyoacán, Ciudad de México, Mexico
- Coyoacán Works
- Since 2012
- Spanish
I've worked in blacksmithing since 2012. I learned from my grandmother and passed what I could on to 710 apprentices.
I can still tell good work from rushed work from across the street. I volunteer at the food bank on Saturdays.
More about Pilar
Some of my old apprentices now run their own shops. I couldn't be prouder.
Crafts and trades
What gifts mean to Pilar: I'd put gifts toward a new set of tools for the next apprentice.
