Philippe Paul Legrand

Master of thatching, now teaching apprentices

  • 🇨🇦 Mississauga, Ontario, Canada
  • St. Anne's Repairs
  • Since 1985
  • English, French
I've worked in thatching since 1985. I learned from my grandfather and passed what I could on to 980 apprentices. I can still tell good work from rushed work from across the street. I garden badly but happily. Hearing from old faces is the best part of my week.

More about Philippe

Some of my old apprentices now run their own shops. I couldn't be prouder.

Crafts and trades

What gifts mean to Philippe: A gift would go toward tools for apprentices who can't afford their own.
