Peter Victor Urassa

Master of thatching, now teaching apprentices

🇰🇪 Embakasi, Nairobi, Kenya
Old Our Lady of Peace Repairs
1992 to 2017
English

I'm a thatching specialist. If you live around Embakasi, there's a good chance I've worked in a building near you. Apprentices come in nervous and leave proud. That's my favorite part. I try to remember everyone's name. I never expected anything in return, but a kind word always makes my day.

More about Peter

Some of my old apprentices now run their own shops. I couldn't be prouder.

Thatching Tailoring

What gifts mean to Peter: A gift would go toward tools for apprentices who can't afford their own.
