I teach biology at Brooklyn Middle School in Brooklyn since 2017. Most days I teach first-year students, and I keep a jar of spare pencils on my desk.
Over the years I've had 360 students pass through my room. A few of them became teachers themselves, which still makes me smile.

If you were in my first-year students class, you probably remember the morning the power went out and we had class in the yard.
