I taught physical education at Northside Primary School in Lagos from 1980 to 1999. Most days I taught Year 10, and I kept a jar of spare pencils on my desk.
My classroom was always a bit noisy, a bit untidy and usually full of people who came for the biscuits.
I'm proud of everyone I got to work with.
More about Peace
Teaching changed me more than I changed anyone, I think.
