Pawan Subash Bhattarai
Master of pottery, now teaching apprentices
- 🇳🇵 Dharan, Koshi, Nepal
- Old Queensway Workshop
- Since 1980
- English, Nepali
I've worked in pottery since 1980. I learned from my aunt and passed what I could on to 920 apprentices.
Apprentices come in nervous and leave proud. That's my favorite part. I answer every message, eventually.
It has been a good run and I'm grateful for all of it.
More about Pawan
Some of my old apprentices now run their own shops. I couldn't be prouder.
What gifts mean to Pawan: I'd put gifts toward a new set of tools for the next apprentice.
