Patrick B. Castro
Master of thatching, now teaching apprentices
- 🇺🇸 San Diego, California, United States
- Little Meadowbank Shop
- Since 1978
- English
My trade is thatching. I opened my own shop in 1978 in San Diego and I'm still there most mornings.
I can still tell good work from rushed work from across the street. I paint watercolors of whatever is outside the window.

If I fixed something for you, I hope it's still holding.
Crafts and trades
What gifts mean to Patrick: I'd put gifts toward a new set of tools for the next apprentice.
