Patience Portia Darko
Local weaving and baking
- 🇬🇭 Tema, Greater Accra, Ghana
- Since 1985
- English, Twi
I've worked in weaving since 1985. I learned from my older brother and passed what I could on to 1,520 apprentices.
Apprentices come in nervous and leave proud. That's my favorite part. I always make time for a proper cup of tea.
If we met, say hello. I'd love to know how life turned out.
More about Patience
Some of my old apprentices now run their own shops. I couldn't be prouder.
What gifts mean to Patience: A gift would go toward tools for apprentices who can't afford their own.

you fixed our roof in 1990 and charged half what others asked. Greetings from Gaya.
