Parvin Sharmin Sikder
Classical and jazz teacher
- 🇮🇳 Mumbai, Maharashtra, India
- Mumbai Lakeview Orchestra
- 1981 to 2011
- English, Bengali, French
I play classical and jazz. I started in 1981 with a secondhand instrument and a lot of stubbornness.
I teach about 12 students a week. Some of them are better than me now, which is the whole point. I'm always reading two books at once.
More about Parvin
I wrote my first song when I was 13. It was terrible and I still love it.
What gifts mean to Parvin: Any gift will help me keep teaching kids who can't afford lessons.
