Youth chess coach and mentor

- 2014 to 2025

I coached chess at Los Angeles Pioneer Community Club from 2014 to 2025. Most of my players were between 12 and 18, and a lot of them turned into friends for life.
Winning was never the point, though I won't pretend I didn't enjoy it. I answered every email, even at midnight.
It has been a good run and I'm grateful for all of it.

If you played for me, you probably remember that terrible school play.

What gifts mean to Parker: A gift would go toward kit and bus fares for kids who can't afford them.
