Papa Frank Asante
Musician with Madina Quartet
- 🇬🇭 Madina, Greater Accra, Ghana
- Madina Quartet
- Since 1988
- English, Twi, Spanish
I've played folk music since 1988, mostly in pubs, churches, weddings and anywhere else that would have me. These days I also teach.
I teach about 14 students a week. Some of them are better than me now, which is the whole point. I sing in a choir.
It has been a good run and I'm grateful for all of it.

What gifts mean to Papa: A gift would go toward new strings, repairs and music for my students.
