Paolo M. Pangilinan
Master of pottery, now teaching apprentices
- 🇵🇭 Manila, Metro Manila, Philippines
- Manila Trades Guild
- Since 1978
- English, Spanish
I've worked in pottery since 1978. I learned from my uncle and passed what I could on to 2,450 apprentices.
The best compliment I ever got was a customer who called me back 25 years later for another job.
It has been a good run and I'm grateful for all of it.

Crafts and trades
What gifts mean to Paolo: I'd put gifts toward a new set of tools for the next apprentice.
