My subject is civil engineering, and for 24 years I got to share it with undergraduates at Riverside State University.
I'm happiest when a student comes to office hours with a question that makes me rethink something I've said for years. I'm always reading two books at once.
I never expected anything in return, but a kind word always makes my day.
What gifts mean to Paolo: Any gift helps me keep buying books for students who can't afford them.
