I've been a nurse for 14 years, most of them in pediatrics at Santa Fe Children's Hospital in Santa Fe. Night shifts taught me patience, and patients taught me everything else.
The thing I'm proudest of is that families usually remember my name. I volunteer at the food bank on Saturdays.
I never expected anything in return, but a kind word always makes my day.
