I taught social studies at Tuxtla Gutiérrez Secondary School in Tuxtla Gutiérrez from 2004 to 2018. Most days I taught Grade 6, and I never turned anyone away.
Over the years I had 730 students pass through my room. A few of them became teachers themselves, which still makes me smile.
More about Paloma
Some of my favorite memories are from the school trip to the mountains, where nothing went to plan and everything turned out fine.
