I've been a nurse for 45 years, most of them in cardiology at Maple Ridge General Hospital in Lansing. Night shifts taught me patience, and patients taught me everything else.
The thing I'm proudest of is that families usually remember my name. I volunteer at the food bank on Saturdays.
