I taught French at Prayagraj Middle School in Prayagraj from 1982 to 2020. Most days I taught first-year students, and I always had a bag of oranges in my drawer.
Over the years I had 2,170 students pass through my room. A few of them became teachers themselves, which still makes me smile.
More about Padma
The students I remember best weren't always the top of the class. They were the ones who asked "why?" when nobody else did.

What gifts mean to Padma: A gift would go toward books and supplies for the students I still tutor.
