I taught art at Palmira Boys' School in Palmira from 1993 to 2013. Most days I taught Year 9, and I kept a jar of spare pencils on my desk.
Over the years I had 980 students pass through my room. A few of them became teachers themselves, which still makes me smile.
I'm still learning every day.
