I coached athletics at Istanbul Youth Club from 2003 to 2015. Most of my players were between 9 and 18, and a lot of them turned into friends for life.
Practice always ended with the same rule: nobody walks home alone. I paint watercolors of whatever is outside the window.
It has been a good run and I'm grateful for all of it.
More about Pınar
Some of my former players now coach their own teams, which is the best thank-you I could ask for.
What gifts mean to Pınar: Anything sent will buy equipment for the junior team.
