Owen W. Hopkins
Local thatching and welding
- 🇬🇧 Derry, Northern Ireland, United Kingdom
- Old Derry Works
- 1993 to 2008
- English
I've worked in thatching from 1993 to 2008. I learned from my father and passed what I could on to 740 apprentices.
The best compliment I ever got was a customer who called me back 20 years later for another job.
I'm proud of everyone I got to work with.
More about Owen
Some of my old apprentices now run their own shops. I couldn't be prouder.
What gifts mean to Owen: A gift would go toward tools for apprentices who can't afford their own.
