Ouma Kiprop Mukasa
Master of shoemaking, now teaching apprentices
- 🇺🇬 Kampala, Central Region, Uganda
- Kampala Works
- 1982 to 1996
- English, Swahili
I'm a shoemaking specialist. If you live around Kampala, there's a good chance I've worked in a building near you.
The best compliment I ever got was a customer who called me back 12 years later for another job.
Crafts and trades
What gifts mean to Ouma: I'd put gifts toward a new set of tools for the next apprentice.
