Ouma Kato Mwangi
Statistics teacher at Highland Girls' School, Since 1979

For 47 years I have been the statistics teacher at Highland Girls' School. I teach the final-year class and a few brave older students who wanted extra help.
My classroom was always a bit noisy, a bit untidy and usually full of people who came for the biscuits.
More about Ouma
The students I remember best weren't always the top of the class. They were the ones who asked "why?" when nobody else did.

What gifts mean to Ouma: Honestly the messages mean more, but a gift would help me buy supplies for my new classroom.

You taught me statistics in 2024 at Highland Girls' School. I still remember the day the fire alarm went off during the exam.
