Ouma Athumani Barasa
Painter, potter and teacher at Hope Gallery
- 🇰🇪 Naivasha, Nakuru, Kenya
- Hope Gallery
- Since 2016
- English, Swahili
I work mostly in digital art, sometimes calligraphy. My first show was in 2016 at Hope Gallery, and nobody came except my family and one confused dog.
I carry a notebook everywhere. My studio is always a bit of a mess.
More about Ouma
I've had 4 small exhibitions over the years. My favorite was the one with the worst lighting.
Mediums
What gifts mean to Ouma: I'd put a gift toward a kiln repair. It's been a long time coming.
