Otieno Kiptoo Mussa
Master of upholstery, now teaching apprentices
- 🇺🇬 Mbale, Eastern Region, Uganda
- Mbale Works
- Since 2016
- English, Swahili
I've worked in upholstery since 2016. I learned from my mother and passed what I could on to 540 apprentices.
I can still tell good work from rushed work from across the street. I volunteer at the food bank on Saturdays.
More about Otieno
If I fixed something for you, I hope it's still holding.
Crafts and trades
What gifts mean to Otieno: I'd put gifts toward a new set of tools for the next apprentice.
