Otieno Bakari Tembo
Choir director and singer
- 🇰🇪 Kasarani, Nairobi, Kenya
- Kasarani Choir
- Since 2005
- English
I play jazz and tabla. I started in 2005 with a secondhand instrument and a lot of stubbornness.
My favorite gigs are the small ones where somebody cries a little in the third row.
Hearing from old faces is the best part of my week.
More about Otieno
I write my first song when I was 14. It was terrible and I still love it.
What gifts mean to Otieno: A gift would go toward new strings, repairs and music for my students.
