Óscar N. Hernández

Biology and social studies teacher, Oakland

🇺🇸 Oakland, California, United States
Oakland High School
Since 1987
English, Spanish

I teach biology at Oakland High School in Oakland since 1987. Most days I teach Grade 11, and I keep a jar of spare pencils on my desk. I've run the school newspaper after school and some of my proudest moments happened there. I garden badly but happily.

More about Óscar

Some of my favorite memories are from the school trip to the mountains, where nothing went to plan and everything turned out fine.
