Osamu Watanabe
Self-taught mural painting artist
- 🇯🇵 Setagaya, Tokyo, Japan
- Setagaya Studio
- 1987 to 2011
- English, Japanese
I work mostly in mural painting, sometimes photography. My first show was in 1987 at Setagaya Studio, and nobody came except my family and one confused dog.
I also teach a weekly class at Setagaya Studio, which keeps me honest.
More about Osamu
I've had 14 small exhibitions over the years. My favorite was the one with the worst lighting.

What gifts mean to Osamu: I'd put a gift toward a kiln repair. It's been a long time coming.
