Opio Wafula Onyango
Master of painting and decorating, now teaching apprentices
- 🇺🇬 Mbarara, Western Region, Uganda
- Lakeview Works
- Since 1993
- English, Swahili
I've worked in painting and decorating since 1993. I learned from my grandmother and passed what I could on to 590 apprentices.
Apprentices come in nervous and leave proud. That's my favorite part. I carry a notebook everywhere.
If we met, say hello. I'd love to know how life turned out.
More about Opio
Some of my old apprentices now run their own shops. I couldn't be prouder.
