Opio Otieno Lubega
Social studies and religious studies teacher, Dar es Salaam
- 🇹🇿 Dar es Salaam, Dar es Salaam, Tanzania
- Dar es Salaam Technical College
- Since 1978
- English, French
For 48 years I have been the social studies teacher at Dar es Salaam Technical College. I teach the youngest children and a few brave older students who wanted extra help.
My classroom was always a bit noisy, a bit untidy and usually full of people who came for the biscuits.
I never expected anything in return, but a kind word always makes my day.

If you were in my the youngest children class, you probably remember the snow day nobody expected.

You taught me social studies in 1978 at Dar es Salaam Technical College. I still remember the morning the power went out and we had class in the yard.
