Opio Okello Wafula
Painter, potter and teacher at Old Good Shepherd Studio
- 🇹🇿 Dar es Salaam, Dar es Salaam, Tanzania
- Old Good Shepherd Studio
- Since 2011
- English, Swahili
I work mostly in glass art, sometimes textiles. My first show was in 2011 at Old Good Shepherd Studio, and nobody came except my family and one confused dog.
I also teach a weekly class at Old Good Shepherd Studio, which keeps me honest.
Thank you for stopping by.
More about Opio
I've had 9 small exhibitions over the years. My favorite was the one with the worst lighting.
What gifts mean to Opio: I'd put a gift toward a kiln repair. It's been a long time coming.
