I've been a nurse for 22 years, most of them in palliative care at Dar es Salaam Regional Medical Center in Dar es Salaam. Night shifts taught me patience, and patients taught me everything else.
I'm usually the first one in and the last to leave. Small things matter when someone is frightened.
Hearing from old faces is the best part of my week.

What gifts mean to Opio: A gift would go toward blankets and small comforts for patients without family.

I became a nurse because of how you treated my dad. Greetings from Dnipro.
