I've coached cricket at Mombasa Hillcrest Athletic Club since 2012. Most of my players were between 10 and 16, and a lot of them turned into friends for life.
Winning was never the point, though I won't pretend I didn't enjoy it. I keep a jar of spare pencils on my desk.

I still think about the morning the power went out and we had class in the yard. Best summer of my life. Greetings from Mandaue.
