Opio Kevin Onyango
12 years teaching early years in Dodoma
- 🇹🇿 Dodoma, Dodoma, Tanzania
- Beacon Technical College
- Since 1988
- English, Swahili
For 38 years I have been the early years teacher at Beacon Technical College. I teach Year 10 and a few brave older students who wanted extra help.
I've run the choir after school and some of my proudest moments happened there. I paint watercolors of whatever is outside the window.
I never expected anything in return, but a kind word always makes my day.
More about Opio
The students I remember best weren't always the top of the class. They were the ones who asked "why?" when nobody else did.

What gifts mean to Opio: If you do send something, I'll put it toward a small scholarship for a student who needs it.

I failed early years twice before you. After you I passed with a B. Thank you. Greetings from Belo Horizonte.

you taught me early years in 1998 at Beacon Technical College. I still remember the day the fire alarm went off during the exam Truly.
