Opio Athumani Lyimo
Coached basketball for 28 years in Mombasa
- 🇰🇪 Mombasa, Mombasa, Kenya
- Holy Cross Youth Club
- Since 1998
- English, Swahili
For 28 years I've run the basketball program at Holy Cross Youth Club in Mombasa. We trained 4 evenings a week, whatever the weather.
Winning was never the point, though I won't pretend I didn't enjoy it. I learn every name in the first week.
More about Opio
If you played for me, you probably remember the cold winter when we all kept our coats on.

What gifts mean to Opio: A gift would go toward kit and bus fares for kids who can't afford them.
