Omondi Mwende Nabwire
Tabla player and teacher in Mukono
- 🇺🇬 Mukono, Central Region, Uganda
- Mukono Ensemble
- Since 2015
- English, Swahili
I've played tabla since 2015, mostly in pubs, churches, weddings and anywhere else that would have me. These days I also teach.
I teach about 14 students a week. Some of them are better than me now, which is the whole point. I paint watercolors of whatever is outside the window.
More about Omondi
I write my first song when I was 15. It was terrible and I still love it.
What gifts mean to Omondi: I'd put a gift toward recording a small album.
