Omolara Idowu Eze
Coached hockey for 40 years in Warri
- 🇳🇬 Warri, Delta, Nigeria
- Mount Pleasant Community Club
- Since 1986
- English, Hausa
I've coached hockey at Mount Pleasant Community Club since 1986. Most of my players were between 8 and 14, and a lot of them turned into friends for life.
Winning was never the point, though I won't pretend I didn't enjoy it. I play music while people worked.
Hearing from old faces is the best part of my week.
More about Omolara
I still keep the team photo from our best season on the wall.
What gifts mean to Omolara: I'll put any gifts toward a small fund so no child misses a match because of money.

I still think about the quiz night we nearly won. Best summer of my life. Greetings from Kasarani.
