Omolara Fatima Ogunleye
Master of blacksmithing, now teaching apprentices
- 🇳🇬 Kano, Kano, Nigeria
- The Kano Trades Guild
- Since 2009
- English, Yoruba
I've worked in blacksmithing since 2009. I learned from my aunt and passed what I could on to 630 apprentices.
The best compliment I ever got was a customer who called me back 20 years later for another job.
I'm proud of everyone I got to work with.
More about Omolara
Some of my old apprentices now run their own shops. I couldn't be prouder.
