Ömer Uğur Acar
Youth softball coach and mentor
- 🇹🇷 Kadıköy, Istanbul, Türkiye
- Since 1992
- English
For 34 years I've run the softball program at Kadıköy Football Club in Kadıköy. We trained 3 evenings a week, whatever the weather.
Winning was never the point, though I won't pretend I didn't enjoy it. I never turn anyone away.
More about Ömer
Some of my former players now coach their own teams, which is the best thank-you I could ask for.
What gifts mean to Ömer: A gift would go toward kit and bus fares for kids who can't afford them.
