Omar Idris Ismail
27 years teaching computer science in Jeddah
- 🇸🇦 Jeddah, Makkah, Saudi Arabia
- Harbor Academy
- 1985 to 2008
- English, Arabic
I came to teaching late, after working as a nurse, and 23 years later I still can't imagine doing anything else.
Outside the classroom I fix old bicycles. Inside it, I answered every email, even at midnight.
I'm proud of everyone I got to work with.
More about Omar
Some of my favorite memories are from the school trip to the old fort, where nothing went to plan and everything turned out fine.

What gifts mean to Omar: A gift would go toward books and supplies for the students I still tutor.

You taught me computer science in 2019 at Harbor Academy. I still remember the day the fire alarm went off during the exam.
