Olumide Chidi Adebayo
Music and Spanish teacher, Lagos
- 🇳🇬 Lagos, Lagos, Nigeria
- Since 2000
- English, Igbo
For 26 years I have been the music teacher at Lagos High School. I teach Year 7 and a few brave older students who wanted extra help.
My classroom was always a bit noisy, a bit untidy and usually full of people who came for the biscuits.
It has been a good run and I'm grateful for all of it.
More about Olumide
If you were in my Year 7 class, you probably remember the rainy sports day.
What gifts mean to Olumide: Honestly the messages mean more, but a gift would help me buy supplies for my new classroom.

You taught me music in 2025 at Lagos High School. I still remember the morning the power went out and we had class in the yard.
