I've been a nurse for 27 years, most of them in intensive care at Warsaw Maternity Hospital in Warsaw. Night shifts taught me patience, and patients taught me everything else.
The thing I'm proudest of is that families usually remember my name. I garden badly but happily.
It has been a good run and I'm grateful for all of it.
